Went to see SWATH. Overview now, deeper thoughts to follow.

IN SHORT: The movie was not as grand as the trailers led us to hope, but also not at all as terrible as some critics have been screeching. The cinematography was lovely, no question there. The score was great. The casting was spot-on. The action scenes and special effects were well done (LET’S NOT TALK ABOUT THE LITTLE JAUNT INTO “LEGEND” THOUGH BECAUSE MY WORD WHY DID WE HAVE TO WATCH THAT.) And the plot had its holes and a few threadbare places, but really, so do all movies.

The place where the movie fell flat on its face was the script. Augh. It hurt watching these actors and actresses delivering such horrible lines to the bitter best of their ability, knowing they couldn’t save it. Whoever wrote that abominable script needs to be kicked in the nuts.

But KJ, I would rather die today than live another day of this death!!
